Sports gala

GILGIT, March 31: A week-long sports gala concluded in Degree College for Women here on Thursday.The Governor Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Pir Karam Ali Shah, was the chief guest on the concluding day who gave away trophies, certificates and prizes among the winners, organisers, best teachers and other participants. Addressing the ceremony the chief guest said that he was highly inspired by the performance exhibited by the students and said they were the mothers of future generation so they should learn how to educate them in a way that they will become healthy nation. Pir Karam Shah urged students to go by the traditional values and maintain dignity as there was huge responsibility on their shoulders. The governor asked students to focus on their studies and said side by side also participate in extra-curricular activities. —Correspondent
