Passing out parade of Malakand Levies held

BATKHELA, May 2: Governor Barrister Masood Kausar has paid rich tributes to the great sacrifices of the people of Malakand along with the security forces while fighting militancy and terrorism. He said, "The parents and other near and dear ones of those who sacrificed their lives really deserve tributes".

Addressing as the chief guest at the passing out parade of the jawans of Malakand Levies here on Monday, the governor said the dignified and respectable way with which the jawans and officers of army, Frontier Corps, Police, Frontier Constabulary and the Levy had laid down their lives fully depicted their capability to face any sort of challenge.

The training was carried out under the aegis of army wherein Jawad Ahmad was awarded with merit certificate for his overall best performance while Abdul Hussain and Nadeem Shah got merit certificates for their best performance in the disciplines of physical training and drill. Besides the GOC Malakand, the ceremony was also attended by local MPA Syed Mohammad Ali Shah, Commissioner, Malakand, Aizaz-ur-Rehman and a large number of elders.

Barrister Masood Kausar expressed the confidence that the graduates of the training programme would add a new glorious chapter in the history of the force while following their predecessors.

Responding to the points raised by the Commandant of the Levy Force in his welcome address for development of training facilities and continuing the reformation process of the force, the governor assured to take necessary steps to materialise them.
