Police kill robber

GUJRANWALA, April 30: A robber was killed while his three accomplices managed to escape during an encounter with the police on Wahando Road on Saturday. Reports said that four robbers were looting passers-by after setting up a picket. Receiving information, the highway patrol police reached there and ordered robbers to surrender, but they opened fire. The police returned the fire, killing one of the robbers while his three accomplices escaped. Police handed over the body of the deceased robber, identified as Nazer Hussain of Jaranwala, to his family after an autopsy.
