PTI to stage sit-ins to block Nato supplies

LAHORE, April 13: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) will try to cut supplies to Nato forces in Afghanistan by staging sit-ins on the supply route in Peshawar on April 23 and 24. PTI information secretary Omer Sarfaraz Cheema and provincial chief Ahsan Rasheed announced this at a press conference here on Wednesday. They said the party students' wing had been activated to mobilise a maximum number of students to participate in the sit-ins while inviting religious forces to join the Tehrik-led demonstrations aimed at ending foreign intervention in Pakistan, including drone attacks, by blocking supplies to Nato forces. They alleged that operatives of foreign agencies were destroying peace of the country in the name of war on terror.
