Baloch Youth lift trophy

KARACHI, March 28: Baloch Youth Garden lifted the 8th Karachi Football League title along with a cash reward of Rs50,000 when they beat the other finalists Mauripur Baloch 2-1 as Baloch Mujahid won the third position match at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium here on Sunday evening. Talal Ayub (32nd min) and Sarmad Jaffar (90+2 min) scored for Baloch Youth Garden while Sameer Samad (64th min) reduced the margin for Mauripur Baloch. Sarmad Jaffar was named the Man of the Match. Earlier in the third-position match, Baloch Mujahid defeated Al-Shahbaz Korangi 3-1. Two goals for the winners were scored by Bilal Agha (35th and 41st mins) and one by Umer Bakhsh (66th min). Noor Alam (20th min) scored the consolation goal for Al-Shahbaz. Bilal Agha was declared the Man of the Match. League runners-up Mauripur Baloch received Rs30,000 as Baloch Mujahid had to remain content with Rs10,000. The Fair Play Trophy along with Rs5,000 was lifted by Orangi Mohammadan. — Sports Reporter
