TOBA TEK SINGH, April 28: A veterinary dispensary established in Kamalia tehsil some two decades ago could not be made functional. Area farmers told reporters on Thursday that its building had been constructed at Tara Haveli near the Ravi in 1990. They said the livestock department did not appoint any staff at the dispensary so far. The building is being used for storage of wheat husk or construction material. No official of the livestock department was available for comments. FOOD POISONING: An infant died of `food poisoning` while her parents fell unconscious here on Wednesday night at Chak 384-JB Eispur. Their relatives broke open the door, found the family members unconscious and shifted them to DHQ hospital where Zubeda died. The couple was referred to Faisalabad Allied Hospital in a critical condition. Police were investigating. The relatives said the family had no enmity. |
