Security forces subsequently started a search operation in areas surrounding the check post. — Photo by AFP LANDI KOTAL: Five security officials were killed in a militant attack on a check post in Khyber tribal region’s Landi Kotal area on Thursday, DawnNews reported. Militants attacked the check post with heavy weapons as a result of which two security officials were also wounded, security sources told DawnNews. The wounded officials were shifted to a hospital for treatment. Security forces subsequently started a search operation in areas surrounding the check post.
