Saud pleads transfer of bail plea to Lahore

LAHORE, March 15: Rawalpindi former CPO Saud Aziz, allegedly involved in Benazir Bhutto's assassination case, on Tuesday filed an application with the Lahore High Court requesting to transfer his bail matter from Rawalpindi bench to Lahore. Aziz in his application alleged that authorities in Islamabad were influencing the proceedings, therefore, the bail matter be transferred to principal seat. Saud Aziz and SP Khurram Shahzad were arrested on Dec 22, 2010 after a lower court in Rawalpindi rejected their bail. Saud had been accused of showing negligence in duty on the day of Benazir's assassination at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.
