SC moved to start contempt proceedings against AG

ISLAMABAD: A petition was moved in the Supreme Court on Monday, requesting to initiate contempt of court proceedings against Attorney General (AG) Irfan Qadir for writing a letter to the chief election commissioner (CEC) not to obey the court's order regarding disqualification of 11 dual national lawmakers. Mahmood Akhtar Naqvi, who had earlier moved the court against the lawmakers, once again requested the court to take notice of AG's letter to CEC and he should be dealt in accordance with law.... more
