NAB decides to authorise inquiry against FBR officials

ISLAMABAD: The Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in its meeting held on Wednesday with NAB Chairman Admiral (r) Fasih Bokhari in chair decided to authorise inquiry against officials of Inland Revenue Service, FBR Karachi.According to the official statement, the FBR officials, in this case, were accused of misuse of authority by sanctioning illegal/inadmissible Sales Tax refund on dubious and bogus invoices causing loss of Rs 2.454 billion to the state exchequer.The boar... more
