Load shedding protests turn violent
LAHORE: With power shortfall exceeding 8,000 megawatts in the country, citizens in various cities, including Lahore and Faisalabad, launched violent protest demonstrations on Thursday, blocking main roads, burning tyres and chanting slogans against the government. In Lahore, citizens in the Shahdara area held a protest against power outages and blocked Grand Trunk Road.
