May Day events

LAHORE, April 30: Over a dozen labour unions and organisations will hold protest rallies to mark the International Labour Day on May 1 (today). Various workers' unions and federations including Pakistan Workers Federation, Pakistan Workers Confederation, Pakistan Wapda Hydroelectric Labour Union, All Pakistan Trade Union Federation, Women Workers Helpline, Bonded Labour Liberation Front, All Pakistan Local Government Workers Federation, Qalam Mazdoor Mahaz and others have finalised their protest plans in this regard. All rallies will gather at Regal Chowk on The Mall where renowned labour leaders including Khurshid Ahmad, Ms Rubina Jamil and Taj Muhammad will address the gathering. — Staff Reporter
