Property dealer shot dead

LAHORE, April 15: A property dealer was shot dead by two motorcyclists in Gujjarpura on Friday. Reports said unidentified motorcyclists came to the office of Muhammad Saeed on Amir Road and opened indiscriminate fire, injuring him critically. The assailants later fled the scene. Saeed was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. The police claimed it was a blind murder saying the initial investigation suggested that the deceased or his family members had no enmity with anybody. The police sent the body to the city morgue and registered a case against unknown assailants. KILLED: A father of two was found murdered with multiple stab wounds in a plot in Shadman on Friday. Initial investigation suggested that Asif Masih of Katchi Abadi had a dispute with Abdul Ghafoor and Shafqat Ali over the ownership of a piece of land. Quoting Asif's father Anayat, the police said the two suspects had hurled life threats to Asif and his family over the same dispute. SUICIDE: A jobless youth committed suicide by taking poison in Nawankot on Friday. Reports said 27-year-old Ismail of Bakr Mandi had been jobless for the last couple of years. On Friday, he locked him in a room and took poison. He was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
