Poet’s corner

My friend

I have a friend named Bilal,
He only eats food which is halal.

He is quite fat,
And wears a hat.

He is really nice,
And enjoys having a cheese slice.

He sometimes eats cream,
But only in his dream.

He likes to read a book,
But never wants to cook.

He always makes a note,
And enjoys wearing a coat.

He uses tooth picks,
And his favourite is
The chocolate named Twix.

He eats a bun,
Under the sun.

He is not mean,
And looks a bit like Mr Bean.

He runs very fast,
And in a race never comes last.

He manages to touch his toes,
On his button nose.

He is really fair,
And has short hair.

He is big and tall,
And likes to play in snowfall.

On every shirt he has a button,
And in meat he likes mutton.

He has a pogo stick,
And together we watch
The channel Nick!

My mum

I have a mum,
Sweeter than a bubblegum.

She has a warn smile,
Better than a girl's style.

And such great hair,
Better than a teddy bear.

What bright eyes,
Better than a sharp knife.

As for her love,
It is better than a peaceful dove.

And for her brain,
Faster than a train

My birthday cup

My father gave me my gift,
O, my beautiful cup.

Grey, red and golden,
Colours are in the cup.

My cup is made in Pakistan,
I am very happy and fine.

My father is very loving,
Look he is coming.

Spring

Spring is coming,
Flowers are blooming,
Butterflies are roaming,
It's neither very hot,
Nor very cold,
We can play outside
With a round ball.

Spring is the best,
And in this season,
We feel relaxed.

Math

How difficult is math!
It takes you to death.

It's not the subject of magic,
It's totally based on logic.

It never tells lies,
Along with it, success lies.

It can make you cry,
But never give up, always try.

Social studies, Islamiyat and science,
These subjects are easy and fine.

Algebra, arithmetic and geometry,
They all possess great mystery.

Math is a source of knowledge,
You would love it after joining college.

My friend

My friend is like a pearl,
Her hair has curls.

She always jokes with me,
And tells me the story
Of a princess and a pea.

She is sweet like Tweety,
And has matchless beauty.

My father

My father is pretty tall,
But not fat like a ball.

He plays with my little brother,
My father loves cricket,
And does not share his secret.

He doesn't like bugs,
And loves to give me hugs.
