Pharmacists to meet health secy

LAHORE, April 28: Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) Vice-Chairman Khwaja Shahzeb Akram says the pharma industry will keep on supplying good quality medicines to the Punjab government so that the poor can benefit from free treatment facility at public hospitals.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, Mr Akram said this at a meeting with Country Head of World Health Organisation in Pakistan Dr Khalid Saeed Bukhari and Trade Development Authority Pakistan Director, Punjab zone, Muhammad Ali.

Mr Akram said a delegation of the PPMA would also meet newly-appointed Punjab Health Secretary Dr Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan to apprise him the reservations and problems being faced by the pharma industry.

The PPMA would support the Punjab government for the free of cost treatment to poor patients, he added.
