Jubilation fire claims boy`s life

LAHORE, April 14: A 12-year-old boy died in jubilation fire at a wedding ceremony in Shafeeqabad area on Thursday. Sajawal Javed became the victim of aerial firing by someone present at the wedding of Mudassir Siddique in Kasurpura. City division SP (operations) Dr Shahzad Asif told Dawn that the victim`s family did not alert the police in time and the groom and wedding guests fled. He said the boy died at a near-by hospital a few minutes after the incident. He said the police found the adjacent houses of bride-groom unlocked and dishes untouched. He said a murder case had been registered against the groom, his family and friends.
