Copper wire worth millions taken away

LAHORE, April 28: Nine armed dacoits looted several coils of copper wire worth Rs4.5 million and other valuables from a steel furnace in Nain Sukh, Suggian Road, in the wee hours of Thursday.

Police said that the bandits entered the factory, held hostage three guards and snatched keys of stores and work stations from them. They collected copper wire and other valuables, including mobile phones, and managed their escape.

Owners of Pak Therm Pvt Salahuddin and Faisal Shahbaz urged police high-ups to arrest the accused and recover the loot. — APP
