KBCA: out of service website

IN this era of digital communications and modern technology, even a small private enterprise keeps an updated website.

The basic purpose is to let the potential customers informed about the company and its products.

But our government departments seem least interested in such a service to the people.

I recently visited the Karachi Building Control Authority website.

To my surprise, the homepage said that the account has been suspended which is possibly because the KBCA did not bother to update its domain subscription or maybe owing to some other reason.

Such an important government department must be proactive in keeping its website updated.

It is a quick and cost-effective way to give information to the public as compared to other methods.

I request not only the KBCA but all government departments to make use of modern technology and especially the Internet as, according to official figures, Pakistan has ab out 20 million users.
