Japanese resilience

JAPAN has been hit by a massive earthquake, but the way the Japanese nation is facing the disaster is truly remarkable.

I have not seen one picture of a Japanese man, woman or child crying after the massive deaths and destruction.

Though they are disturbed over the tragedy, there are no signs of despondency.

They can be seen locating bodies of their loved ones and taking care of the wounded in an organised manner.

We see food shortage and scarcity of other necessities of daily life. People line up in a disciplined manner for their turn at
almost empty stores.

There has been no looting or riots. Even the Japanese government has not asked for any help from the world.
