Court cancels bail in spurious drugs case

PESHAWAR, April 25: A chemist charged with selling spurious and expired drugs was arrested here after the Peshawar High Court cancelled the bail granted to him by a subordinate court. A single bench comprising Justice Dost Muhammad Khan observed that people playing with lives of people by selling spurious drugs did not deserve any leniency. The court directed that the challan (charge sheet) of the case should be submitted before the trial court forthwith and the court should conclude the trial within two months. The bench had taken suo motu notice of the issue on April 11 when it was hearing bail petition of another accused person, Faheemzada Khan. —Bureau Report
