Trends: Cool shades for sizzling summer

Summer has just arrived and the scorching sunrays are simply unbearable! It gets too hot during daytime and if we have to get out of the house around noon or later, the harmful sunrays can be very damaging. They not only ruin our skin and hair but also our eyes.

We need to take extra precautions while going out during summer — especially during the day.

In order to protect our skin, we should apply sun block to the exposed body parts so that the harmful rays of the sun do not harm us. Likewise, we should wear light fabric clothes to feel comfortable during sweaty summer and to protect hair from getting damaged, we should wear scarf or cap.

And, for the eyes, we must put on sunglasses as the rays of the sun affect our eyes in the most damaging way and can cause
vision disorder. As a result of prolonged exposure to the sun, the area under the eyes is also affected and we get dark circles.

The good news is that these days protecting your eyes from the sun is not a dull task, but rather quite glamorous and exciting.

Sunglasses, nowadays, are in fashion and are available in a huge variety of styles.

Sunglasses are so stylish and chic that they are no more considered as a 'tool to protect eyes', but rather a fashion accessory similar to bracelets, handbags, bangles, wallets, etc.

In the market you will find sunglasses of every kind — from designer glasses to their replicas that are very inexpensive.

Designer glasses are of course very expensive, ranging from Rs1000 onwards.

Many reputed fashion accessories companies make beautiful and glamorous designer glasses; you must have seen various celebrities wearing chic sunglasses — these are designer ones — which are not available at small shops and you will have to visit elite shopping malls to get one.

But hey, it was just for your information! You should not be stubborn and ask your parents to get you expensive designer shades. The most important thing is that the sunglasses should have glasses that do not damage your eyesight. One way to check this is to try them out to see if you can see through them comfortably and there is no strain or distortion of any sort in the vision. But it is only after prolonged use that one can be sure that the material used in making the glasses is eye-friendly and this is not too easy for ordinary people like you and I to make out at first glance.

In the shops you will find sunglasses that are big and bold to sports sunshades, from shield sunglasses to those with retro look and from wraparound style to rimless ones — you have a large variety to choose from. Just be careful about the shape of your face and your complexion as only the right choice will make you look fabulous!

The trend of wearing sunglasses is so much in vogue now that a shopkeeper at a local market disclosed that he sells 10 to 20 sunglasses (replica of course) each day!

Some rather classy ones have stones and crystals carved on them and wearing them can make you look stunning. Nowadays
sunglasses with large frames and transparent glasses are also in, besides coloured glasses.

Beautiful and cute, sunglasses for toddlers are also available now but care must be taken to check that that wearing sunglasses does not obstruct their vision in any way before allowing them to do so.

In addition to protecting your eyes from sunrays, sunglasses are also a beautiful addition to your wardrobe! So be safe and
stylish this summer with sunglasses.
